~ where curiosity kills more than the cat ~
Cute comic and great quote.
Love the quote, and especially the cartoon! Great post! If you have time you can come by and check out my A Post.
Thanks :) I think you have to have a sense of humour when reading a rejection.
Very funny cartoon!!!
I might try that one, it couldn't hurt ;)
What's funny/sad is there are people who really expect that kind of thing when they submit an unsolicited ms. Great start to the A-to-Z, AJ! :)
Sumel and Dixie@dcrelief, I love comics that look at the humour in writing. They (almost) help keep me sane. Thanks for stopping in :)
Michael, it if works, let me know ;-)
The scary thing is I think you are right, Colin. I follow Slush Pile Hell and it makes you realise there really are people like that out there If you don't follow it (http://slushpilehell.tumblr.com/), you should :)
Ah, my favourite Snoopy comic! I cut this out of the newspaper and kept it for years. There was also a book, SNOOPY'S GUIDE TO THE WRITIING LIFE, edited by Barnaby Conrad and Monte Schulz, which you might enjoy.
That's why I detest gallery openings. So many big egos. When a critic told Robert Rauchenberg his sculpter deserved to be thrown in the river, he did exactly that. here is the link: http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2006/nov/28/art1
Stopping by from JR's blog. I love the look and design you have!
Barbara, I'll have to check out the Snoopy book. Thanks for letting me know about it!
Wow. Angie, that's kinda scary. Can't imagine a whole room of egos like that!
Thanks for stopping by, Karen. The JR blog hop is fabulous, although rather huge :)
